AI Readiness Consulting - About Robin Mack

Founder & CEO of Innovation Transformation Pty Ltd in Brisbane, Australia, I focus on enhancing AI readiness and delivering organizational consulting services across Australia.

PRACTICAL. CREDIBLE. STRAIGHT TALKING

Professional headshot of a smiling man in a suit jacket and white shirt.

I've spent nearly four decades helping organisations work better — from the boardroom to the front line.

I started my career in the United States, working across financial services, technology and education before moving to Australia in the early 2000s. Since then I've worked with some of Australia's most recognisable organisations — from Domino's and Tatts Group to Australia Post, Suncorp, NBN Co and Queensland Health.

In 2017 I founded Innovation Transformation to do things differently. No big firm overhead. No methodology worship. Just honest, practical consulting that delivers real results for real organisations.

Today my focus is helping organisations get AI-ready — safely, practically and without the chaos. Because after nearly four decades of watching technology transformations succeed and fail, I know the difference between organisations that are genuinely ready and those that just think they are.

You are the expert in your organisation. My role is to create the conditions for your leadership team to surface what they already know, see the possibilities and agree on a clear path forward — together. The answers always come from you. The plan is always yours. That's the difference between consulting that builds capability and consulting that creates dependency.

BOARD EXPERIENCE

I bring genuine board-level experience to every client engagement — not just an understanding of how boards work, but what it actually feels like to sit at the table. As a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD, 2010), I have the formal governance training to match my practical board experience.

I currently serve as Deputy Chair of Speld Inc. (2023–present), a leading organisation supporting Australians with dyslexia and learning difficulties. Previously, I served as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of John Paul College (2012–2021), one of SE Queensland's leading private schools with $50m+ annual revenue, and Deaf Services (2019–2025), Australia's largest provider of services to the deaf community.

Beyond my own board roles, I have worked directly with boards as a consultant — facilitating Strategy Planning Days, Continuous Board Improvement sessions, and Social Contract sessions that enhance collaboration and decision-making. This includes guiding organizations through innovation transformation initiatives to boost their AI readiness.

This experience means I understand the questions boards are asking about AI right now — around risk, governance, fiduciary duty, and strategic direction. When I present to your board, I'm not translating from the outside; I've been in that room.
